Hey, I am Megan Danielle Gerald. I’m an actor living and working in New York City.

Growing up, I was a very artistic child. I loved the act of storytelling through movement, drawing, painting, and singing. I have a special love for acting. Acting links all of the things that I love together in one. The movement across the stage and the “song and dance” of characters playing in a scene. The painted landscape of the set that brings you into the world.

When I was younger, I would watch movies television shows and study the players. I soon began to imitate them, not always to get laughs, but to see if I could genuinely become them, telling their story. I would find a version of me in them and imagine a life outside of what was shown.

Acting is not about being someone different. It's finding the similarity in what is apparently different, then finding myself in there.

To be or not to be...
— William Shakespeare Hamlet Act 3 Scene 1

To be or not be is the age old question.

I always knew that I wanted to be an actor but when it came time for college I took the ‘safe’ route, accounting major. After almost two years I found myself longing for the place I belonged.

From 2015 to 2019 I studied.

I attended Uta Hagen’s Core Program at HB Studios; serval programs at The Barrow Group including Summer Intensive, Filmmaking for the Actor, Scene Studies; improv 201 at Upright Citizens Brigade; and serval private lessons with various studios, and teachers around the city.

Almost there.

Since the beginning of my jorney I have appeared in serval short films, music videos, and I will make my first TV appearance on Netflix.

Check out my content and resume.

Thank you for your time.

One love,

Megan
